I’m a developer working living on the South Downs (but commutable to London). I’ve worked for lots of companies using Python, PHP, and Drupal including the V&A, Imperial War Museum, and Tate Britain.
I feel more like a software carpenter than engineer – joining systems with APIs, shaving off superfluous code, and carving elegant websites.
I love building easy to use, high-performance, and reliable websites – the web should be lightning fast and give the users what they need with the minimum of fuss and cost. Sometimes this requires Drupal for its depth and power; sometimes it needs FastAPI and HTMX to do the minimum necessary at lightning speed.
